What does going green even mean?
You can hear this phrase a lot lately and that is no surprise.
Going green actually means doing something good for our planet, so we can provide a better future for our children.
We are basically trying to say that nature has all we need to live happy lives. Today, many people turn to unnecessary chemical products in their lives, which means that they create additional waste and pollute the planet. The point is that you can use natural products for most things you do in your live. To make things even more interesting, nature products are always a better choice than products filled with chemicals. Olive oil, coconut oil, lemon, vinegar, Aloe Vera and baking soda are all natural products that are far superior to the things you buy in the store. You can use them to clean everything and to take care of your body. Avoid using deodorants, shampoos, conditioners and harsh cleaning products. If you have problems with your hair, dry scalp, soft lips, acne or stretch marks, natural products should be your choice.
If you go green, you won’t use chemicals that would end up in the soil and ultimately in our food chain. This is just the first step you must take to take care of our environment. To make even more difference, you must conserve Earth’s resources. Our most precious resource is clean water. There are still many people in the world that don’t have a constant supply of fresh water. Since we can’t live without water, we must conserve it. There are many ways you can conserve water, and you can even reduce your monthly water consumption in half just by changing a few things.
Other that water, we must reduce our energy consumption. Change your bulbs to energy efficient LED bulbs, use air conditioner wisely, and buy energy saving appliances. Reduce the amount of fuel you spend to save money, and to save the planet. Take a walk instead of driving, buy a bicycle, and invest in a hybrid car.
- Learn how to drive correctly to get better gas mileage.
- Learn everything about recycling and educate others.
- Don’t throw all your waste before separating them.
- Throwing organic waste is completely unnecessary.
- Make compost out of your banana and orange peals.
Saving planet Earth is not as hard as people think. If you decide to reduce your water, electricity and fuel consumption, you are already doing a huge favor to the environment. Not to mention that you can save money by doing these things. Don’t let Earth day just be one day of the year, make it every day of the year. Going green is your responsibility.
