Welcome to my first ever Meal Plan Monday!

I need more organization in my life and I think a good meal plan will definitely help! I know I struggle with not only finding good recipes but if I don’t have a plan of what I’m going to make, I just stare at my cupboards and in my refrigerator at a loss. My kids need to have a set schedule and set meals and I need to provide them. I don’t necessarily have to stick to my meal plan every day/week but this will be my guide to becoming just one step closer to having a more organized and hopefully less chaotic house!

I figured Thanksgiving week was a great week to start because that’s less days for me to plan out! Nice, huh?! :D Everyone has to start somewhere!

Each meal I will try to have a recipe already on my site and then link to it. Below the Meal Plan I will also list the grocery list so that you can cross off things you already have in your pantry and shop for the rest….that’s if you decide you want to use this Meal Plan for the week. :)

I added a new feature to the site – a select and print feature so all you have to do is check the items you’ll need from the grocery list and then click ‘print my list’ and whalaa, you’ll have your very own shopping list for the week!

Meal Plan Monday – 11/21/11

Monday – Spaghetti

Tuesday – Chili

Wednesday – Souper Chicken Tetrazzini

Thursday – Thanksgiving – Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

Friday – Leftover Buffet

Saturday – Leftover Buffet

Sunday – Pizza (frozen or ordered)

Grocery List

2 lb hamburger
2 cans tomato soup
2 boxes angel hair pasta
1 large can tomato juice
1 can corn
1 8 oz box of elbow macaroni (optional for chili)
1 can chili beans in sauce
shredded cheddar cheese (optional for chili)
sour cream
1 can ream mushroom soup
milk
1 small onion
Parmesan cheese
chicken breast or turkey
1 small zucchini
spices: Italian seasoning, chili powder

    I do a meal plan every week, especially since our family is so busy. I love it! It took me awhile to get used to it, but I find it helps get rid of a lot of stress at the end of my day. I usually match up my coupons and store ads to decide what we will eat that week!

      I need to do everything and anything to get some semblance and order to my day! I think I was more organized when I was working full time. ;) I need to take my managerial skills from my working days and bring them home! hehe If you ever want to share your meal plan with the readers, let me know!     It’s a good thing to planned your daily routine though it’s for next day for in this way you’ll be able to checked things out and remember those important things that you mostly need for that day. You have all the time to sort out what was lacking that you need to prepare for the next day and on this case also you get a lot of convenience.
