Hello, as valued customers, we take your privacy and ensuring the security of your data very seriously. In the middle of the night last night, our technology team was alerted to an issue involving ability to login and our login process. In order to properly diagnose the issue and continue to ensure the security of the site, on notification we disabled the checkout process. We can assure you no billing information was compromised. Nomorerack does not store any card holder data, rather card holder data is stored within a PCI compliant environment and our billing gateway. Nevertheless, our team is reviewing all accounts accessed during the period of time when the login function experienced abnormalities to ensure the integrity of each customer’s account. Please feel free to contact customer service with any questions or concerns you may have.
There has been a lot of serious hacks this year. Sony was one of them. We had to cancel our check card and get a new one. Thankfully the hackers didn’t charge anything to our card but those hackers really messed up Sony for quite awhile! It reminds us that no company is immune to hackers no matter how well they think they are protected.
Regarding NoMoreRack, if you are a member and you are worried about your information getting out, I would recommend going in and trying to delete your information. While NMR is saying that all information is protected, other users are saying that they have been able to log in and see users information other than their own.
I’m hoping that if you are one that has been able to see others’ information, that you are being honest and not doing anything with it. I actually have only been able to see my information so I’m hoping that NMR has fixed this at this point and our information is secure.
The company can not predict when/if it is going to get hacked but it is how they handle the situation afterwards that it is important. I can’t say that I’m done with NMR right now. I’m waiting to see how they come out of this situation before I make that decision.
