How many of us hear that and panic? I know I do…and I’m usually hearing it from 5 different people! Well tonight I decided to go for a staple…spaghetti and meatballs. However, I don’t usually add the meatballs and I’m switching up the sauce. I usually make my own sauce but since I’m adding meatballs, I decided to let Ragu handle the sauce.
It’s an easy meal. The meatballs are Rosina Italian Style Meatballs. They are pre-cooked so all you have to do is heat them in your sauce for 25-30 minutes and they’re done. Serve them over your choice of noodles and dinner is served. I used 1/2 the bag of meatballs, a 1lb 10oz jar of sauce, and about 1/2-3/4 box of angel hair pasta and that fed our family of 6 with some left over. Whew! I’m done for one more night.
My usual sauce is just as easy and really good. Here’s the recipe:
Brown 1 lb of hamburger, drain grease. Add 2 cans of tomato soup and 1/2 can of water (more or less to reach desired consistency). Flavor with some Italian seasoning (more or less to desired taste). Heat and serve.
