My “techy,” not very active son had a chance to review the Zamzee. Here is his review:
Zamzee is this little virtual thing where you can earn rewards by being active. So you have this meter that you carry around with you and the more active you get the more points you are going to earn. The Zamzee plugs into the computer and will upload your points. The more points you have the higher you’ll rank on the scoreboards.
You can also do challenges. When you do a challenge you can earn Zamz and you use those Zamz, once you get enough, to redeem for prizes. The challenges all have descriptions so you know what you’ll need to do. For example, one challenge is to run around for 15 minutes (be active) and then you’ll earn those points.
There are also little avatars that you can assign to your Zamzee.
I like the Zamzee. I’ve been having fun doing challenges and it’s fun to just see how many points I can earn. I’d love to be able to earn some of the big prizes!
So what is a Zamzee?
Zamzee helps kids and families make physical activity a fun, rewarding part of daily life. Physical activity recorded by the Zamzee activity meter powers a kid’s online experience at zamzee.com, where they can view their daily activity, take on challenges, and earn rewards.
If you’re looking for a way to get your child and family more active, check it out!
